UK — Edinburgh, Scotland. On December 18, 2020, Member of the Scottish Parliament (MSP) Andy Wightman resigned from the Scottish Greens party. In his resignation letter, Wightman wrote that he had “been saddened by the intolerance shown by some party members to an open and mature dialogue about the tensions and conflicts around questions of sex and gender in the context of transgender rights and women’s rights”.

Mr Wightman said that he was told he would “face complaints and disciplinary action leading to possible suspension, deselection or expulsion” if he voted in favour of an amendment to the Forensic Medical Services (Victims of Sexual Offences) Bill in the Scottish Parliament the previous week. This amendment, overwhelmingly supported by MSPs (except for the Scottish Greens and Liberal Democrats), gives sexual assault victims the right to choose the sex of the medical professional who examines them. For example, if a female rape victim requests a female examiner, a male health professional who currently identifies as a woman will not be permitted to perform the intimate exam.

Mr Wightman wished to vote in favour of this amendment. In his letter, he noted that he had previously been admonished for attending a public meeting at Edinburgh University in June 2019, and that “some of the language, approaches and postures of the party and its spokespeople have been provocative, alienating and confrontational for many women and men.”
Mr Wightman’s resignation comes in the wake of a “call to action” letter from trans activists demanding “an independent review of all major Scottish parties’ complaint procedures and outstanding complaints regarding internal transphobic abuse and harassment, in line with a definition of transphobia that is agreed upon by the trans community.”
Wings Over Scotland, a Scottish political website, has outlined numerous issues with the “deranged, 3,000-word-long definition of ‘transphobia’ which expressly includes, among very many other things, simply stating that women are adult human females.” The definition, split into six headings, each with their own sub-headings, includes various complaints, insults and accusations against those who wish to preserve sex-segregated spaces.

So…… just existing as a woman would be considered transphobic, of course? Adult human females invalidate a man’s fantasy of being ‘a real woman’.
Transactivists have long made it clear that everything about women’s existence is triggering – from the sight of our bodies that can never be theirs, to menstruation, pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, and any evidence of these, or us discussing our health, anatomy, reproduction (women in period, pregnancy, PCOS and endometriosis groups say every one of these groups has been infiltrated by men who self-identify as women, and these men moderate the language and dominate the discussions, despite being unable to have these experiences). It’s been established that the sight and sound of us being what they cannot is triggering, that it’s our fault, and that we need to make ourselves as small and silent as possible to make such males feel good, so I would not be surprised if it is very soon illegal for women to go out into public at all. It will probably be a hate crime to do so. “Why would you want to go out if it distresses trans women and makes them feel suicidal? Why would you want any right at all that harms trans women?”
Once they’ve pushed us out of public spaces and silenced all discussion of our bodies, and filled it with their own discussions of what women are, I guess the “distress” will end, as no one would know who to compare them to. Maybe they can round us up and intern us in special camps where we can no longer trigger their dysphoria, which seems to be our fault for having been born in bodies they feel rightfully belong to them, bodies they seem to believe we robbed them of. I am not even giving them sinister ideas by saying this, because a transgender-identifying journalist has already publicized his fantasy of keeping women in “breeding facilities” to be regularly raped. Very disturbing movement. The evil many seek to bring to girls and women is insidious.
Diana, I’m fairly sure that you’ve heard &/or read about a further subset of these vile, fetishistic men who’ve had women exiled from support groups both online and in real life for Breastfeeding Mothers for daring to pipe up against the grotesque invasion of women-only spaces and erasure of both their and their infants’ boundaries.
I truly wish I were making this up, but some of these ironically very masculine, autogynephillic men take an antiemetic drug called Domperidone in large quantities in order to induce faux lactation to satisfy their pregnancy/breastfeeding/domination kink/fetishes.
There’s one particularly bold and unrepentant individual by the name of Gabrielle Darone (aka Princess Mom) who didn’t hesitate for a moment before having actual women, you know – the sort who could really, REALLY do with the advice and support supposedly gleaned from being a part of these groups kicked out for alleged “twansphobia” for not putting the fetish of an overbearing, narcissistic, entitled brute of a creepy man before their own needs as first-time breastfeeding mothers! One of the remaining mothers even went so far in her performative obeisance to the cult of male superiority as to offer up her very own infant to suckle on one of his aberrant teats! It defies belief, more so because Facebook came down on the side of the pervert. Women, it would seem, simply aren’t allowed to draw a line anywhere when it comes to these deranged specimens. Some of the comments written by handmaiden types in response to Darone’s outrageous entitlement really have to be seen to be believed.

I am aware of the trans-identifying males who use drugs to induce lactation. One even had an article published admitting that he was sexually aroused by his newborn infant suckling him after he induced lactation. It was disgusting. I was disturbed for the child.
I’ve also seen their tweets all over Twitter and screenshots of their FetLife posts and comments, in which they admit to taking women’s and girls’ used tampons and menstrual pads out of public restroom waste bins and putting them into their own bodies or underwear to experience the sexual satisfaction and validation of feeling like they actually menstruate.
It’s extremely troubling that they see every aspect of women’s and girls’ existence as sexual, and seek to inhabit our existence for non-stop sexual thrills, yet it’s considered a ‘social justice’ movement for their erections to be centered over women’s and girls’ basic human rights. A woman speaking for her own rights and disregarding their weak erections is a bigot who wants to kill them. We’re supposed to just know our place as silent, blank slates for them to project their warped, demented fantasies of womanhood on.
It astonishes me that more do not see this ‘human rights movement’ for what it truly is. Then again, even conceding that one has given their tacit support to much of this stuff is incredibly troubling.
These ‘activists’ would do well to consider that there has to one day be considerable push-back to their demands. What then?
I would recommend the “Princess Mom” story to be read by everyone (not pleasant however) The link was provided above by Lida. The most disturbing thing is that well meaning mothers actually volunteered to hand over their babies to this man to “feed”! I hope they were just trolling him, but I fear they were actually going full performative allyship.
Its good for someone to stand up but its still a bit unsatisfying. He should have not walked away from a fight. Taking them through the whole process would have actually been far more useful as a way of fighting the TRA movement. Especially since even inside is own party most actually do not support TRAs – just go along with the flow out of conformity & fear. The movement’s definition of transphobia is morphing into “give me anything I want right now”. It would have been enjoyable seeing them twist themselves sideways to justify their demands.
