US — Simi Valley, Ventura. In 2013, a male suspect was arrested by the Simi Valley Police Department (SMVD) on charges of child annoying after he was accused of stalking and sexually soliciting an underage boy.

At 4:30 PM on April 26, 2013, the then 52-year-old Cristian Lugo Novelo of North Hills drove a red 2006 Toyota Avalon vehicle into the parking lot of the Do-It-Center at 2417 Sycamore Drive.

According to SVPD reports, Mr Novelo approached and sexually propositioned a 15-year-old boy, whom he then persisted in stalking.

The suspect was arrested a short time later by the SVPD on charges of Child Annoying.

Law enforcement initially thought Mr Novelo was a woman, but discovered the suspect’s sex following his arrest. Mr Novelo was legally considered a woman at the time of the arrest, as his July 2012 civil petition to have the sex changed on his birth certificate and to be reissued a new birth certificate had been granted in August 2012.

According to Mr Novelo’s listing on the California sex offender registry, he has a 2014 conviction on charges of arranging a meeting with a minor with intent to commit a specified sexual offense.

Now a registered sex offender, records show that Mr Novelo’s numerous known aliases include Noemi Lugo, Louie Fontino, Lugo Fontino, Lorie Fontino, Noemi Lugo Novelo, Neomi Lugo Novelo, Damiro Santana, and Naomi Lugo.
