UK — London, England. Seven men have been arrested in connection with dozens of genital removal surgeries that were allegedly performed out of a North London basement flat.
“Between Tuesday, December 7 and Friday, December 10 2021, officers from the Met’s Central Specialist Crime command conducted a search warrant at a residential address in the Finsbury Park area in connection with an investigation into an allegation of grievous bodily harm,” a Metropolitan Police spokesman said.
The raid came after a 44-year-old man nicknamed “The Eunuch Maker” bragged during an online interview that he had subjected 59 men, including himself, to genital removal procedures. According to investigators, the procedures were broadcast on pay-per-view television.
Nullification procedures are rapidly growing in popularity internationally as cosmetic surgeons began marketing the surgeries to individuals who identify as ‘non-binary’, or neither male nor female, with some surgeons promising to go as far as providing a body that “neither resembles a natal male nor female” by removing all “external genitalia while preserving a urethral opening and anal opening.”
The Norwegian-born man revealed during the interview that his reason for performing the mutilation on himself was out of a desire to “look like a Ken doll with nothing down there.”
He additionally explained that “I help others achieve their goal” with the aide of a Burdizzo, a tool designed to clamp down on and crush the spermatic cord, breaking the blood vessels. The testicles then atrophy as a result of lack of blood circulation to the area. He stored the men’s amputated genitals in his freezer or within alcohol in his flat, he claimed.
According to neighbours of the man, ambulances regularly came to the property and a suspicious black tent was a mainstay in his backyard.
The Metropolitan Police spokesman said: “Six other suspects were also arrested and released on bail in connection with this matter. The other suspects are all males, in their 30s, 40s, 50s and 60s.”
